The 19th September 2026 meeting of the British Iranian Business and Professionals Society is dedicated to honouring the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Caspian Cultural Centre (previously known as the Library for Iranian Studies) and its founders and learning about the centre’s exciting plans for the future.

The Caspian Cultural Centre (CCC) in London is home to the common culture and heritage of about a quarter of a billion people of West Asia and the Middle East.

With so many world heritage sites; a borderless wealth of literature, science and art – what is known as the Persianate culture – and the intriguing history of melting and re-emerging geopolitical boundaries, the region boasts being the cradle of civilisation.

    The present home of CCC

Tireless efforts of the founders and financial support from the Iranian community over the years have enabled CCC to grow both in terms of content and the scope of operation.

The fascinating history of CCC, from a humble one-room library with about 2,500 books to a collection of over 50,000 books, manuscripts and periodicals, is the story of a handful of dedicated individuals in love with Iran and its culture and literature.
